Smoky Mountain Photos by: Betty Shelton

For the past 25 years, I have been passionate about nature photography.  I used to go with my husband trout fishing.  I had no interest in catching fish, so I started taking my camera alone.  What a new world photography opened up.  wildflowers are abundant along the creek banks, white-water streams, salamanders, insects, changing seasons.
From that point, I had a desire to learn everything I could about photography.  I started taking classes, workshops, reading, hunting.  For the past 25 years, photography has never gotten boring - there is so much information to learn each day - constantly changing.  The world keeps changing.
I have learned from experience what my camera will capture, and what circumstances the camera has no control over.  I believe everyone develps their own photograhy style, and my style is to document the natural world as I see it.  BEAUTIFUL!
